Only ten years old, I spent an entire summer with my aunt who loved to cook. As a little girl, I remember sitting with her when she attended cooking class at the local college. The classroom was not sophisticated or well supplied. It had only a handful of the most basic appliances. It was with these basic tools that they created the most amazing
and interesting meals I could ever allow myself to imagine.

I realized then that great meals are created by people who possess the following qualities: interest, passion, structure and creativity. It is with those same basic tools that people create
a meal to please one's palate.
